Threadneedles Hotel is a beautifully converted banking hall, built in 1856 in the center of London's financial district, 500 meters from Tower Bridge. The interior retains original features including an intricate stained glass central dome that creates the reception and seating lounge centerpiece. The 69 stylish guestrooms are decorated in soft neutrals with richly colored fabrics, wooden furnishings, and soft lighting. All include Egyptian cotton sheets and duck down duvets, wireless Internet connections, CD players, satellite television, air conditioning and minibars. The limestone bathrooms have chrome and glass fittings, designer toiletries, televisions, bathrobes and slippers. The hotel restaurant and bar serves modern French cuisine prepared by a Michelin starred chef in chic, relaxed surroundings. From Heathrow Airport:
Buses and underground trains run every few minutes from Heathrow Airport into central London. The best way to get to the hotel is by taking the Heathrow Express to Paddington station, then an underground train to Bank station. Black cabs are available at the airport and cost around 50 GBP to the hotel. The hotel operates a shuttle service for a fee.
